1. Definition of Peristaltic Pump
A peristaltic pump, also known as a hose pump, is a new type of industrial pump.
As a product of modern industrial development, it is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, chemical and other industries. It is suitable for conveying sensitive, viscous, highly corrosive, abrasive, high-purity media, as well as media containing solid particles.
A peristaltic pump consists of three core parts:
driver, pump head and tubing.
The fluid is completely isolated inside the pump tube. It supports fast tube replacement, reversible fluid flow and dry running. It also features low maintenance cost, which forms the core competitive advantages of peristaltic pumps.
2. Main Applications of Peristaltic Pumps
All application scenarios of peristaltic pumps are for fluid handling, including free-flowing liquids and solid-liquid mixtures. Its primary function is fluid conveying.
The conveying accuracy of a peristaltic pump can reach as high as ±0.5%, meeting the requirements of both quantitative conveying and quantitative dispensing.
Functionally, peristaltic pumps are mainly used for quantitative metering conveying and quantitative metering dispensing, covering a wide range of process needs from laboratory research and analytical instruments to industrial production.
Main application fields are listed as follows:
